The MULLION brand shines bright @ SEAWORK SOUTHAMPTON 2010
They will come. Pilots, Policemen, Firemen, Boatmen, Yachtsmen, Fishermen, Divers, Welders, Oil Workers, Wind Millers, and even Film Makers all made their way to The Solent venue for SEAWORKS, SOUTHAMPTON June 15-17, 2010.
The young sea-farers, the older ones, the ladies who love the marine life style, Naval, Merchant, Coast Guard and Sea Scouts were attending to explore the enormous variety of Marine Industry Products. Once again the MULLION stand stood proudly and shines so brightly at the entrance door in clear view to the thousands of daily visitors and exhibitors.
Though the weather outside was sunny a slight northerly breeze was discomforting to the lovely Receptionist Team who were very glad to sport the SIOEN range of New Soft Shell styles in colour and high visibility clothing in greeting Visitors. Styles kindly supplied by Andy, Tony and Tim representing MULLION Manufacturing Ltd. UK. (See images attached)
This EXPO has generated a great amount of enquires for the Sales Team nearly double last years. The Police Water Units and Emergency Rescue Services strongly represented. Some very exciting leads and enquiries to follow up are based on visitors from offshore explorations, alternative energies wind farm builders, suppliers and tenders.
Other business enquiries should provide real opportunities and will result in valuable new business for the MULLION brand of quality marine products in UK, Europe and Ireland.
We even enjoyed a visit from David Coffey intrepid explorer and cameraman for the Discovery Channel interested in the Mullion styles as he is about to embark on an expedition of the Arctic North West Passage following the footsteps of another famous Irishman Sir Ernest Shackleton.
The collaboration between MULLION & SEA MARSHALL in the production of life jackets with a built in locator beacon was very well presented with SEA MARSHALL also hosting their own stand with Andrew Browne at the helm. This very innovative product is very well supported by Marine specialists across Europe and the Americas
Representing MULLION from SIOEN Ireland, based in Gweedore, County Donegal, Adrian Towey was on his second outing to this excellent venue to meet and greet many Irish visitors and Exhibitors involved at SEAWORKS. These included Mooney Boats, Emergency Rescue Services, Western Marine, Red Bay Boats and others. The Irish Marine Media was again represented by the editors and publishers Hugh Bonner of Skipper Magazine and Mark McCarthy of Marine Times.
One very exciting event for the Mullion English Crew one evening was to encounter and be photographed with the World Cup Trophy in a local hostelry.
Maybe the hope of things to come or just Maybe!
